One Response to Plutocracy – Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

  1. It’s been a while since I had civics class or took a government class in college so I had to look this one up! We talk about equality and democracy and everyone being equal but it seems as though many of the forefathers of this great nation came from a background of wealth. The common man then, just as now, is too busy trying to keep their head above water to get involved in politics! I feel there always has been a class struggle in the U.S.A. We strive towards equality…but do we really want it? I think the wealthy want to stay wealthy (seems intuitive to me) and the rest of us want to improve our position in life (with a few exceptions).
